Grants for participants

  1. The first 15 online participants’ applications will receive the remboursement by CSCS of the 50% of the expenses (up to € 250) for the participation to the San Sebastian Conference
  2. WEBINAR: Skillman project organizes 8 webinar sessions on Project results. The first 15 participants who will register and attend one Webinar session will receive the total remboursement of the expenses (up to € 500) from CSCS, for the participation to the San Sebastian Conference.

Why

The conference will focus on the Vocational Education and the Training challenges regarding ICT, robotics and composite materials in the transport sector and aims to bring together specialists, international experts, educators and VET teachers.

The event will be an opportunity to present the main results obtained by the project in developing new curricula on the three fields (ICT, Robotics and Composite Materials in the Transport sector).

Most recent trends, practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field of skills required to work in those specific sectors will be also discussed.

Finally the conference will explore educational programmes aimed at re-skilling and up-skilling workers, actives measures for employment in the field of advanced manufacturing for the transport sector, e-learning platform for VET providers and other outcomes produced by the project.

The conference will be hosted by Tknika, the centre promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Education Department of the Basque Government devoted to develop innovative projects in the areas of technology, education and management.

Focus

The International conference of Skillman project focuses on the Vocational Education & the Training challenges in the transport sector in three specific fields:

  • Industry & Production 4.0 Manager
  • Robotics
  • Composite Materials

Skillman project specialists, International experts, Educators, VET Teachers will exchange ideas about the most recent trends, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of skills required to work in Industry & Production 4.0 Manager, Robotics and Composite Materials in the Transport sector.

The conference presents the main results of the Skillman project and explores the following dimensions:

  • Tertiary qualifications and corresponding educational programmes and higher apprenticeship schemes in the field of Advanced Manufacturing in the transport sector
  • Educational programmes aimed at re-skilling and up-skilling workers in the field of Advanced Manufacturing in the Transport sector
  • Educational programmes for trainers in the field of Advanced Manufacturing in the Transport sector, using blended learning approach, ICT and Open Educational Resources
  • Discussion on joint curricula, guidelines for trainers, open educational resources and e-learning platform for VET providers produced by Skillman project
  • Curriculum design in coherence with ECVET, the definition of VET programmes and delivery, in adherence to EQAVET quality principles and procedures, the delineation of the qualification standards, referred to EQF framework.
  • The implementation of national and European policies and active measures for employment in the field of Advanced Manufacturing for the Transport Sector

SKILLMAN PROJECT – Erasmus+ Programme  (www.skillman.euis promoted by a network of leading organizations (Business leaders) in partnership  with research centres, Vocational Education Training providers VET and accreditation bodies. It has designed Joint European Curricula matching the competencies and skills requirements arising from recent trends in the transport sector adopting ICT (Information Communication Technology) and open educational resources. SKILLMAN has identified skills and training demands and designed Joint Curricula programmes and VET programmes in the field of ICT, Robotics and Composite Materials in the Transport sector based on learning outcomes, approach and quality assurance framework (European VET system and transparency tools – EQAVET, ECVET and EQF).

The overarching  goal of the SKILLMAN project is  to develop new curricula in  the three fields (ICT, Robotics and Composite Materials in the Transport sector) enabling VET representatives and practitioners working in  skills requirements in the field of Advanced Manufacturing for the Transport Sector to exchange views and information with the business world and representatives from both large as well as small and medium sized companies.

Tknika is a centre promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Education Department of the Basque Government.

Innovation and applied research are at the core of Tknika in its ongoing efforts to place Basque Vocational Training at the European forefront. Tknika is modelled after some of the world’s most advanced vocational training centres.
